Over the last few days, there have been numerous occasions where word choice has really mattered to me. At the office table over lunch last week, I was so tired I literally couldn’t find the right word I wanted to use and my sentence trailed off. I asked colleagues ‘what’s the word I need?’ and every one of their suggestions was wrong, resulting in a few giggles at my expense. I knew what I wanted to say, but I just didn’t have the ‘right’ word. Later on in the week, lovely Becky on Twitter (@shadylady222) made a comment about her being an idiot, or a fool.. or both. With my sarcastic and ever-supportive sense of humour, I replied ‘you are indeed a fidiot’.
